Established in 1984, Ivy Lodge has been caring for older people for more than 40 years. Originally an Edwardian farmhouse, Ivy Lodge has been thoughtfully extended and refurbished over the years to create a bright and comfortable home for up to 33 residents. Its smaller size gives Ivy Lodge a distinctly personal feel, with inviting communal spaces, comfortable bedrooms and a peaceful garden to enjoy.

Yesterday we enjoyed a wonderful Tea & Cake Afternoon filled with laughter, conversation, and plenty of sweet treats! Our residents gathered together to relax, socialise, and indulge in a delicious selection of cakes and refreshments.
There’s nothing quite like sharing a cup of tea with friends, reminiscing, making new memories, and enjoying a slice (or two!) of cake. The room was full of smiles, chatter, and a lovely community spirit.
A big thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make the afternoon so special. We are already looking forward to the next one! 💖

✨🎲 Yesterday's Scrabble Afternoon at Verulam House! 🎲✨
Yesterday, residents enjoyed a wonderful afternoon of Scrabble, bringing everyone together for friendship, laughter, and a little friendly competition. 💜
It was lovely to see residents making new friends, learning new skills, and working together to create words and score points. One of our ladies had never played Scrabble before, but with encouragement and support from the group, she soon joined in and had a fantastic time. 🌟
Activities like Scrabble are a great way to keep our minds active, build confidence, and enjoy quality time together. The room was filled with smiles, conversation, and plenty of fun throughout the afternoon.
Well done to everyone who took part. We’re already looking forward to the next game! 😊

🎻✨ What a fantastic afternoon we had at Verulam House with the incredibly talented Bhupinder Roopra! 🎶💃🕺
Residents, families, and staff were treated to an amazing musical performance that had everyone singing along, clapping, and even dancing. The atmosphere was truly wonderful, filled with smiles, laughter, and the joy that live music brings.
A huge thank you to @bhupinder63 for sharing such beautiful music and creating so many special memories for us all. We thoroughly enjoyed every moment and are already looking forward to welcoming him back.

Our Arts & Crafts flower arranging session in the chapel was blooming brilliant! 🌼🌷 Residents created some truly beautiful floral displays, showing just how much their skills and confidence have grown over time.
The creativity, teamwork, and attention to detail were amazing to see, and the finished arrangements looked absolutely stunning. We are getting so good at flower arranging that we might even be ready to take on a wedding next year! 💐😉
